The vision to establish a theological institution in North India was born in the hearts of Rev. V H Coleman, Rev. D N Oliver & Rev. R Q Tuttle, the Assemblies of God missionaries in Delhi. This vision was an offshoot of the Teen Challenge Ministries in the city, given the vast scope and need for such an institution to train men and women for ministry.
Founded in 1982, it was initially called Central Bible School, offering a three-year Graduate in Theology programme. Subsequently in May 1991, it was upgraded to a college offering a three-year Bachelor of Theology and Diploma in Theology programmes. Central Bible College serves as one of the premier theological institutions of the Assemblies of God in North India. We believe in the philosophy of providing a balance between intellectual exercise and practical ministry. Young men and women called of God are given the right kind of theological and ministerial education by qualified and committed teachers. An impressive 85% of our graduates today serve as Pastors, Evangelists and church leaders in various parts of India and abroad.
